A highly desirable brand at the top of its game, Jacksons Fencing needed a digital presence that would set the standard in their industry.
Sagittarius followed a process of defining well thought out user journeys, implementing a crisp, clean and understandable design and a well structured product catalogue.
- Competitor Analysis, Market Research and User Case Development were performed first to help identify how to position Jacksons Fencing as a premium product.
- Information Architecture and User Experience Planning developed a website structure and user journeys to maximise sales opportunities, brand engagement and customer details harvesting.
- Using the existing database of some 1,500 products, worked them into easy-to-navigate categories and groupings so that no customer would ever feel lost or unable to proceed with their purchase.
The next challenge was to transpose the brand values online, giving customer confidence in a purchasing a premium brand. In terms of design we worked diligently to implement the very latest brand guidelines and drew inspiration from the many offline brochures and communications that Jacksons Fencing use in order to create brand cohesion across all channels thereby increasing consumer confidence.
Sagittarius then looked at implementing Ajax and Flash technologies, always careful to create accessible alternatives, in order to create an inspiring and controlled user experience that users of all ages, abilities and technology comfort levels would feel at ease with.
We then created the Fence Builder application as an easy-to-use way to buy Jacksons Fencing’s most popular and customisable products without the need for specialist knowledge or experience of buying fencing, posts, gates and all the accessories that a customer might need.
Jacksons Fencing’s website is fully CMS driven with a 'three click' email broadcast system. Their website team has full control over pages, images, documents, news and FAQs. Built on a highly optimised structure, their products dominate the search engines over the past five years (try it, search for 'Jacksons' on any of the major search engines - not Jacksons Fencing, that would be too easy, just 'Jacksons').
By developing a class-leading User Experience and E-Commerce website it’s gone from strength to strength, dominating search engines and maximising ROI.
