Mobile Websites

With mobile devices and digital tablets becoming increasingly sophisticated on what feels like a daily basis so to mobile websites are following suit. The latest generation of mobile devices can support all the same technologies that the browser on your desktop computer can (well, with the exception of Apple not supporting Flash) and so the experiences that can be created and the functionality that can be supported is no longer constrained.

Mobile websites are built on the same foundations as 'traditional' websites and as their browser based can be built once to run on any mobile based browser. Mobile websites are great for creating rich user experiences with full functionality available from mCommerce to watching video embedded in your content.

Mobile Applications (aka Mobile Apps or Apps)

Mobile apps are pieces of software that run on the mobile device that they have been downloaded to. This means they can keep your customers connected to you even when their not connected to the Internet. In terms of capabilities mobile apps are only limited by your imagination (well, and your budget). They offer rich user experiences, all manner of functionality from games to video viewing to maps and pretty much anything else.

Text Messaging

SMS Text Messaging or good ol' fashioned texting is a great way to send personalised messages to your customers. Text messaging is a great way to build more personal relationships in a way that other channels, even email, cannot offer. It's immediate, can be easily reported on and can be used to converse in a more intimate way.

Bluecasting

Bluecasting or broadcasting messages via bluetooth is already something of a forgotten art. For proximity based marketing few forms of digital channel can offer more. By broadcasting simple messages to a defined, geographically proximate audience it can enhance any location based marketing event.

Mobile Tagging or QR Codes

QR Codes are small graphics that you can use to encourage customers to respond to your campaigns with. When integrated into a campaign they can be used as both a way to track user behaviours and to offer additional content or opportunities to your customers. They can also be used in other digital channels such as augmented reality to create more interactive experiences from the start of a customers connection to your campaign.
